Class of 62:: Well it will be 52 years ago but it seems like yesterday to me. WHAT A GREAT 4 YEARS! City Champs at Soldiers field. The wrecking ball knocking down the old building in our sophomore year.. President Kennedy winning a close election not till late morning did we know! (They found a truck in Chicago river with a lot of uncounted votes a little while ago ha ha ) Roger Touhy (gangster) getting gunned down a cold December night in 1959 ( 128 N Lotus). Going to the dances on Friday night and having those old Big Band era musicians usually 4 of them play misty for 10 minutes and then when they took a break we had 45 rpm records belt out our good ole rock in roll songs.. Activity nights playing basket ball or games and then the dancing at 8pm to records. What a Blast!!
